Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully. They define your rights and responsibilities when using the 238 Global platform and Acts Continuum data.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using 238global.com (the "Platform") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, contributors, partners, and API consumers.

2. Mission and scope

238 Global is an Acts Continuum documentary project. The Platform allows verified contributors to submit reports of Spirit infillings and water baptisms, and makes aggregate data publicly available via a web interface, REST API, and Server-Sent Events stream. The Platform is not a social network, a fundraising tool, or a theological authority.

3. Contributor accounts

To submit reports you must apply for a contributor account. You agree to provide accurate information during the application process. Accounts may be approved, suspended, or revoked at our discretion. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You may not share your account or submit reports on behalf of events you did not witness or that cannot be reasonably verified.

4. Submitted content

You retain ownership of any testimony or content you submit. By submitting, you grant 238 Global a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and archive that content as part of the Acts Continuum record. You represent that submitted content is truthful, does not infringe third-party rights, and does not contain harmful, deceptive, or unlawful material. We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission without notice.

5. Public data and APIs

Approved report data and aggregate metrics are publicly available. You may access this data via our REST API and SSE stream under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence — attribution to "238 Global / Acts Continuum" is required. You may not use the data to build a product that misrepresents its source or falsifies revival statistics. Rate limits apply; exceeding them may result in temporary or permanent API access blocks.

6. Embed widgets

You may embed our widgets (iframes or embed.js) on any website provided you do not modify or obscure the 238 Global branding within the widget, and you do not embed widgets in contexts that are deceptive, pornographic, or otherwise harmful.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not: submit fabricated or materially exaggerated report data; attempt to circumvent rate limiting, access controls, or moderation systems; scrape the Platform in ways that degrade service for other users; use the Platform for commercial solicitation or spam; impersonate 238 Global or its staff; or reverse-engineer non-public platform components.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the theological accuracy, completeness, or verification of any submitted report. Aggregate statistics are documentary, not prophetic. We are not responsible for how third parties use embedded data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 238 Global disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

In no event shall 238 Global be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed fifty US dollars ($50).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Texas.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
